We are a 501c3 non-profit organization working to create a better quality of life for individuals and families suffering from a serious injury or illness by providing the necessary equipment, support, assistance, and by promoting compassion in the community.

What is Signs of Sunshine?

Signs of Sunshine is a 501c3 non-profit organization that helps people who are suffering form a serious illness or injury. We do everything from building wheel chair ramps, to modifying an entire home so that it is handicap accessible. We may even just fill a freezer full of food. Whatever we can do to help! We are currently operational in Illinois and Arizona, with plans in the works for Utah and California! We are growing fast, and loving every minute of it!
Often times when injury or illness strikes, it is not only life changing, but often financially catastrophic. Our goal is to help as many people as we can! We count solely on donations and volunteers to make this happen. Therefore any support that you can give is greatly appreciated! Please help by clicking “like” on our facebook page, and sharing our website with your friends! You can also make a donation right here on our website by clicking the make a donation link. Thanks for your support in helping us “Spread a little Sunshine”! Together, we CAN make a difference!

Thank you for your support!

Sending out a huge THANK YOU on behalf of Signs of Sunshine to the following businesses and people for making our April 21st event in IL a huge success! We raised almost $7,000.00 that day! We look forward to “spreading a little sunshine” to help those in need with the funds that were raised! We could not have done it without each and every one of you, and we are already looking forward to next year!

Spring is in the air this St. Patricks Day!

Spring is off to a busy start here at Signs of Sunshine! The requests for our help are coming in, and we love knowing that we can help so many people out there! With this great weather and  our wonderful supporters, we are so excited to see what the rest of this season brings our way!

For those of you who have been following the news about Chase via our Facebook page, etc. He was finally released from the hospital, and while he still has to go back a few times a week and stay close by, so far everything is going well with his new heart! To think what that cute little boy has already endured at just 4 years old! He is truly an inspiration to us all!

There are so many people out there like Chase and his family that can use a little bit of help from us!  To be welcomed into their lives, and to be able to give them a hand is truly an amazing experience! Thank you to all that have helped us on this journey! Your donations and time are really making the difference for these families! Without you all, there is no way that we could continue to do this! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU, and Happy St Patricks Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you today, and every day!

Quick facts about Signs of Sunshine

We have been getting many questions via email, and comments lately. Therefore, it seemed appropriate to answer them all in one post. Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions! We are always here to help!

“Where will my donations go?” – Currently we are fully operational in both Arizona, and Illinois. (Opening soon: California and Utah!)  However, we are a national organization, recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 Public Charity. (This means that your donations are tax deductible!) Your donations will help individuals (and their families)  with things such as medical equipment, wheelchair ramps, and modifications to their home or vehicle to make it more accessible and functional for them.  In addition to those things, we may fill a freezer full of food for a family while off work from a severe injury or illness. We may also help them with other needs such as utilities or transportation. Our goal is to assist in any way that we can,  to help make sure that an individual has the opportunity to recover, and live life to their fullest potential!  With your partnership and donation, we can provide these things to those who so desperately need our help! Together, we can spread “Signs of Sunshine” to so many in need!

“Can you help someone in another State?” – There is always a chance that we can help someone in another State! Not only are we expanding rapidly, but if it is something that we can make happen, we will certainly try our best! Please don’t hesitate to ask! Go to the “Send and S.O.S” page, and nominate someone you know today!
“Will I receive a donation receipt, and information about who my donation helped?” – Yes! If you you make a donation online, you will get a receipt immediately via Pay Pal. If you would like something directly from us, just ask, and we will get it to you! If you mail a check to us via the P.O. Box, we will send you a receipt via mail or email! You will receive a quarterly newsletter about what we have been doing at Signs of Sunshine! This newsletter will share some information about who we have helped, as well as all of the latest news about Signs of Sunshine!
“Can you hold a fundraiser for my friend?” – (or any one specific person) Because we are a Public Charity, we do not raise money for any one specific person. However, if that person is nominated for our services, or we are contacted about them, we will certainly make every effort possible to help them out!  Please don’t hesitate to ask us for help!!
“Do you have paid employees?” – No, we do not. There are currently no permanent paid positions at Signs of Sunshine. We do however, pay people for their services from time to time, one example of this could be a contractor doing a modification for us. (Although we make every attempt at getting volunteers for this as well! Please let us know if you are interested in donating time or materials!!)  Therefore, your money goes directly to helping others, which is exactly where we believe it should go!!
“What is the mailing address if I would like to send a donation by mail?” – Our mailing address is:
P.O. Box 1969
Queen Creek, AZ 85142
This information can be found on our “Make a Donation” page as well.
“Can I nominate myself?” –  Absolutely! We all need a hand when we are struck by a serious illness or injury. Please let us know your situation, and we will see what we can do!
“Is there someone I can call for more information?” Yes! If you have more questions or need to get in touch with us, please call us at either 480-580-0021 or 309-232-8679 You can always email us at or check us out on Facebook as well!
